Ian was born in England, raised in Jamaica, and moved to New York with his family when he was 17. Ian launched his career through stand-up comedy. His first writing job was on The Keenan Ivory Wayans Show in 1998. In 2000, Edwards wrote on MTV’s The Lyricist Lounge Show. He wrote on ABC’s The Big House starring Kevin Hart, and in 2005, Edwards was a regular cast member on season 6 of MTV’s Punk’d, and a story editor on Cartoon Network’s The Boondocks. He was a writer on Comedy Central’s Chocolate News, a Consulting Producer on Dogg After Dark starring Snoop Dogg and wrote on FOX’s In the Flow with Affion Crockett. Ian performed stand-up on the Comedy Death Ray Album in 2006, appeared twice on HBO’s Def Comedy Jam. He performed on P. Diddy Presents the Bad Boys of Comedy in 2007 and Showtime’s Live Nude Comedy in 2009. Ian was a writer on ABC’s Black-ish, an uncredited writer on CBS’s Two Broke Girls and NBC’s The Carmichael Show. Additionally, Ian was a writer and Supervising Producer on season 2 of the Adult Swim animated series Black Dynamite. Ian also wrote jokes featured in The New York Post and Time Out Los Angeles in 2014. In 2014, Ian also released his debut comedy album, 100% Half Assed on Conan O’Brien’s Team Coco Records as the first comic signed to Conan O’Brien’s label. He has appeared multiple times on Conan and @Midnight and was a cast member in the Jeff Garlin feature Dealin’ With Idiots, opposite JB Smoove in 2013. In 2014, Ian acted in the film Tangerine, which was a massive success at Sundance 2015. The film signed a distribution deal with Magnolia Pictures and released in theaters in 2015. In 2015, Ian starred in Raise The ToyGantic, a mockumentary comedy about the “ToyGantic,” a toy luxury ocean-liner built in 1962. Ian has been interviewed or reviewed in Entertainment Weekly, The New York Times Magazine, Huffington Post, Paste Magazine, Marvel Comics, Thought Catalogue, The Onion AV Club, LA Weekly, Penthouse Magazine, Uptown Magazine and Exlaim!.

Ian Edward's one-hour comedy special, Bill Burr Presents IanTalk is currently streaming on Comedy Central. He was just on Lights Out with David Spade, has appeared on Conan four times, and can be seen on Comedy Central’s New Negroes. Ian’s been a guest on The Joe Rogan Experience, Whiskey Ginger, TigerBelly, Riffin/ w/ Griffin, among many other podcasts. Ian played Skull on several episodes of Friends From College on Netflix. Additionally, he’s coming off two features on the acting side - Sean Baker’s Indie Spirit Award nominated film, Tangerine (Best Feature category) and Jeff Garlin’s Dealing with Idiots. Additionally, Ian is a cast member on season 6 of MTV’s hit show Punk’d.

As a stand-up, Ian released his debut album 100% Half Assed on Conan O’Brien’s record label, TeamCoco Records, and was the first comedian signed to the label. He’s performed as a stand-up on shows such as HBO’s Bad Boys of Comedy, Showtime’s Live New Comedy and The Comedy Death Ray Album. Ian’s recent writing credits include a Co-Producer on Netflix’s Friends From College, a Co-Producer on HBO’s Crashing, and a producer for the animated series, Sugar and Toys, on Fuse. Some additional writing credits include ABC’s Black-ish, NBC’s The Carmichael Show (consultant/advisor), along with CBS’ Two Broke Girls. Ian is the writer of Undercover Brother 2 for Universal. He’s also written on SNL, Cartoon Network’s The Boondocks and MTV’s The Lyricist Lounge.

This show is 21+ (18+ with a parent or legal guardian over the age of 30). All minors will be wrist-banded or stamped and no alcohol will be served at the table. All parties must have valid ID to enter the building. Please note, there is a 2 item minimum in the showroom. Tickets will be available for pick up at the box office prior to the show (they are generally available 1.5-2 hrs prior to showtime.)
