Special Event: Maria Bamford

Maria started her performing arts career in Duluth, Minnesota at the age of 11 where she starred in the Chester Park Elementary production of How the West Was REALLY Won! A short number of decades later, look at her now! (Born in 1970!)

Check out her IMDB listing for the most recent credits, but she plays "Debris" in the 4th season of Netflix's "Arrested Development" series, a saucy girlfriend in Season 3 of FX's Louie and was recently interviewed about her new Comedy Central CD/DVD "Ask Me About My New God" on NPR's Fresh Air with Terry Gross!

Maria is the first female comic to have two half-hour Comedy Central Presents specials. She starred in the Comedy Central series, The Comedians of Comedy and Netflix’s Comedians of Comedy: The Movie.

Maria’s writing has been featured in The Onion, GQ and the LA Weekly. Her CD, Unwanted Thoughts Syndrome , is available on Comedy Central Records and features a bonus DVD of her web series The Maria Bamford Show. Her most recent special - given rave reviews in the New York Times- The Special Special Special is available at www.chill.com and her web series "Ask My Mom", was featured in The New Yorker.

As seen from above, in terms of showbiz, she has made it and is swimming in a gravy boat, filled with scrumptious gravy. She lives with two overweight dogs and a boyfriend in Eagle Rock, California. Go, llantas!
